  • Where are you located, and am I in your service area?
    We're located in Big Lake, Minnesota, specifically Orrock Township. Our service area includes: Big Lake Monticello Orrock Township Zimmerman Princeton Elk River Becker Anoka Ramsey Rogers St. Michael Albertville Hanover Otsego Buffalo
  • How big is your business?
    We started as a small, two-person operation. But have since added additional pet professionals to help us keep up with ever-increasing demand. When you join the Oh, Fur Pet's Sake pack, you'll meet with one or two of our pet specialists to ensure we're all a good fit. That specialist will be assigned based on where you're located, the services you're interested in, and which team member has availability. The person you initially meet will be your primary sitter. If you meet with a second sitter, they will serve as your backup care provider. We will never have someone you and your pets have not met enter your home unless it's an emergency. The sitter/pet bond is unique and needs to be fostered and protected. That's why we always strive to have at most two care providers for each home.
  • Do you provide pet care at your home?
    No. We don't provide care at our homes. We provide pet care at the pet's own home, where they are most secure and comfortable. Our overarching mission is to always adhere to the pet's routine. By changing as little as possible in your pet's environment, they stay happy and calm when you cannot be with them. View our services for a full list of how we can help you and your pets.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Yes, we have a flexible cancellation policy because we understand that life happens. Daily Walks and Visits We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations for daily pet visits and walks. Vacation Visits and Overnight Stays We require a minimum of 72 hours notice for vacation and overnight pet care cancellations. Cancellation Fees Cancellations made within the specified timeframe will not incur any charges. Cancellations made with less notice than the required timeframe will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking cost. Emergency Situations We understand that emergencies happen. If you are in a sudden, unavoidable situation, please get in touch with us immediately. We will assess and handle the situation with the utmost understanding and flexibility. Rescheduling We encourage rescheduling whenever possible. If your plans change, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your new schedule without additional charges.
  • Do you provide overnight pet sitting?
    Yes! While most pets do not require someone to sleep next to them all night, we understand the peace of mind it gives pet parents, especially for pets who have special needs. And we don't stop with "overnight" care. Our service is 24-hour care at one flat rate. We don't tack on charges for additional daytime care. Read more on our overnight services page.
  • Do you charge per pet?
    No. Our prices are the same no matter how many pets you have and regardless of their care needs. We know what it's like to have multiple pets and to be charged excessive fees for each. If we come to your home to care for one pet, we will happily care for them all without penalizing you for being an animal lover. However, if your care needs exceed your visit's allotted time, we may charge an additional fee. Generally, this can be identified in our initial meet and greet.
  • How much do our pet sitters earn?

  • Are you insured, bonded, and licensed?
    Yes. We are insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates, meaning you, your home, and your pets are protected. And all of our pet care specialists have passed an extensive background check. Additionally, we are a legal LLC registered with the state of Minnesota. What does all of that mean? We're a legitimate, tax-paying business. When you use our services, you have complete peace of mind knowing that we have the experience and framework behind us to care for your pets professionally. You can trust us.

  • Can I see your service agreement?
    Oh, Fur Pet's Sake Pet Sitting Service Agreement Terms and Conditions Oh, For Pet's Sake agrees to provide pet sitting, dog walking, and other applicable pet care services in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of the services and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and releases Oh, For Pet's Sake from all claims against the company, its owners, employees, and representatives, except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Oh, For Pet's Sake. The Client agrees to notify Oh, For Pet's Sake of any concerns within 24 hours of completion of services. The Client agrees to pay all charges accrued for services rendered. The Client understands that payment is due upon completion of services. Oh, For Pet's Sake shall exercise all precautions against sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents, or death of Client's pet(s). Oh, For Pet's Sake is not responsible for sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents, or death of the Client's pet(s) unless caused through negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Oh, For Pet's Sake. The Client agrees that no other persons will have access to the home before, during, or immediately after Oh, For Pet's Sake's services have been rendered. Oh, Fur Pet's Sake does not accept liability for other persons who will be in your home before, during, or immediately after our services have been rendered The Client represents and warrants that pet(s) are currently vaccinated, following all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The Client agrees to identify all video and audio devices located inside and outside the home before the start of any service. These devices will not operate in any bedroom or bathroom designated for Pet Sitter use. The Client accepts responsibility for all medical expenses and other damages resulting from an injury to the Pet Sitter, other persons, or other animals caused by the Client's pet(s) or negligent act. The Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Oh, For Pet's Sake in case of a claim by any person injured or otherwise damaged by the Client's pet(s) or negligent act. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled visits for services canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled service. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled visits when Client fails to cancel scheduled service and Pet Sitter arrives at Client's home to find services are not needed. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to temporarily connect a tracking device to the Client's pet(s) to track pet(s) while it's in the Pet Sitter's care. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to temporarily connect a video device to the Client's home network to monitor the pet(s) while the Pet Sitter provides overnight sitting in the Client's home. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the Pet Sitter, in their sole discretion, determines that the Client's pet(s) poses a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people or the Pet Sitter. If concerns prohibit the Pet Sitter from caring for the pet, Oh, For Pet's Sake will attempt to contact the Client to arrange alternative care. If the Client cannot be contacted, the Client authorizes Oh, For Pet's Sake to place the pet in a licensed kennel with all charges arising to be the Client's responsibility. Oh, For Pet's Sake reserves the right to refuse service to any Client, at any time, for any reason. This document gives Oh, For Pet's Sake and its representative authorization to enter the Client's listed address as needed to perform agreed-upon services. The Client expressly gives Oh, For Pet's Sake the authority to employ a locksmith on their behalf and to promptly reimburse Oh, For Pet's Sake for all costs incurred in the event of a malfunction of the lock, keys, or automatic door opener. Oh, For Pet's Sake is not liable for any loss or damage in case of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under this contract. The Client agrees to properly secure the home before leaving the premises. Oh, For Pet's Sake will re-secure the house to the best of its ability at the end of each visit. In the case of an emergency, inclement weather, or a natural disaster, the Client authorizes Oh, For Pet's Sake to use reasonable judgment for the care and well-being of the Client's pet(s) and residence. Oh, For Pet's Sake will make reasonable efforts to maintain service during these conditions but reserves the right to adjust the service schedule based on the Pet Sitter's sole discretion. Oh, For Pet's Sake is not responsible for any damages beyond the control of the Pet Sitter. The Client is responsible for supplying the necessary equipment and supplies needed for the care of their pet(s), including, but not limited to, a sturdy, well-fit harness or collar and leash for walks or, in case of emergencies, pet food, medications, identification tags, litter boxes, cat litter and cleaning supplies. In addition, the Client authorizes any purchase necessary for the satisfactory performance of duties. Costs of all assets and related service fees will be reimbursed to Oh, For Pet's Sake within 14 days. The Client authorizes using pet(s) pictures on websites, social media, and marketing materials for promotional purposes. The Client authorizes this contract to be valid approval for services to permit Oh, For Pet's Sake to accept all future in-person, telephone, online, mail, or email reservations and provide services without additional signed contracts or written authorizations. The Term of this document applies to all pets owned by the Client, including all new pets that the customer obtains on or after the date this document was signed. I have read the above terms and conditions. I know, understand, and agree to all terms stated above. By clicking "Accept," I am accepting this document as a contractual agreement.
  • How do I schedule and pay for your services?
    Sign up now to schedule services, manage your automatic payments, and keep updated notes on each of your pets. It also puts you in constant contact with us. You know when we arrive to care for your pets, get visit reports that include photos and GPS details for any outdoor activities.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
